Preferred partner selected in Dorset

Magna Housing Group, as one of the partners of the Source Development Partnership, has taken the lead in selecting preferred constructors for a programme of affordable housing projects across Dorset.

The Partnership is pleased to announce that CG Fry & Son, based in Litton Cheney, Dorset, has been selected as the preferred partner on contracts up the value of £1million. This means that CG Fry & Son will receive a minimum of 75% of the development work in the upto £1million bracket within the region. The remaining 25% is up for award to preferred constructors already listed within the Source framework agreement for new development opportunities and or innovative projects.

The driving force behind choosing preferred constructors is to achieve greater efficiencies in the construction process. Also by consistently working together, knowledge and skills can be gained and used on future projects. The process for choosing the successful parties was devised by Faithorn Farrell Timms and involved looking at 19 constructors before making a final decision.
Members of Source are already looking for opportunities to begin working on a programme of sites with both CG Fry & Son and ISG Pearce (preferred partner in the £1m - £2.5m bracket).
