10.04.07 - Magna sponsors local carnival

Magna Housing Association is delighted to announce that it will once again be the main sponsor for this year's Dorchester Carnival, which has as its theme “The Four Seasons”.

Magna is contributing £3,000 towards the staging of the event which helps to raise large sums of money for many of the town’s clubs, community organisations and charities each year.

The carnival, which is organised by members of Dorchester Round Table, will include a number of activities, such as a four-legged race around town and a Party-in-the-Park in the Borough Gardens. The highlight of the carnival will be the Grand Procession, which takes place on Saturday 16th June and which usually draws crowds of thousands onto the town’s main streets.

Magna Director, David Aldwinckle, says, “Given that we are a large employer and housing provider in the Dorchester area, we are delighted to be associated with this fantastic event once again. We love being at the heart of the local community, and this is a highly enjoyable way of doing it!”
