Free tickets for ‘Summerthing Children’s Art Festival’!

Magna Housing Association’s Western Area Residents’ Panel has, for the second year running, made a commitment to funding 10 free children’s tickets for this year’s ‘Summerthing Children’s Art Festival’ in Bridport for children of Magna residents.

The festival is held between the 6th and 11th of August 2007 at Bridport Arts Centre and Bridport Youth Centre. During the 5 fun-packed days at the festival, children can try their hand at circus skills, giant puppet-making, ceramics, dance, singing, music, masks and even carnival costume workshops. This year the theme will be ‘elements’ and the event will finish in a colorful parade through Bridport, and a performance on Millenium Green.

Western Area Residents’ Panel chairman, Martin Kendrick says, “Tickets are hard to get hold of with only around 90 children attending the whole week.” “Tickets for the festival are normally sold at £75 per child, so this is a very generous offer for ten lucky children.”

To enter the competition your child must be aged between 6 and 12 and a Magna resident. To have a chance to win, children must be registered by the 9th July 12:00, just contact Lisa Holmes at Magna Housing Assosiation on 01305 216000. All names will be entered into a prize draw and the lucky winners will be informed on 10th July in time to choose their workshops.
