19.03.07 - Magna brings home ownership dream within reach

Magna was able to provide a glimmer of home at a recent open day to well over a hundred people in the Weymouth area who are looking for a home to own.

The open day, which was set up to promote the six homes for affordable sale at Pottery Lane under the HomeBuy (part rent, part buy) scheme, saw approximately 130 people through the door.

The event aimed to tell people more about the HomeBuy scheme generally, as well as give specific information about the six properties available.

As well as experts in shared ownership from Magna, people from other agencies were on hand to give information about mortgages.

Lin Burt, Senior Development Administrator, who organised the event, said, “It was really fantastic to see so many people and to be able to give them some hope that one day they will be able to own their home. Magna is keen that that day comes as soon as possible and we are actively pursuing every lead we can to provide more homes for affordable purchase.”
