Magna Housing has taken another step forward in providing an equal service to all its customers.

The south west based housing provider has recently installed hearing induction loops in all of its Dorset based offices.

This has come as part of the organisation’s work under equality and diversity.

The loops work by transmitting sound through a wire loop which is then received by a telecoil in a hearing aid. By doing this, the quality of sound becomes improved for hearing aid users.

Hearing loops are not new to the Magna group; Magna’s offices in West Somerset and all the communal rooms on its sheltered housing schemes there have had a similar system installed for some time.

Samantha Pirt, facilities officer for Magna, said, “Some of our customers have already found the benefit of the new hearing loops. This is another way that we are trying to improve not only our services, but how they are delivered.”
