Dorchester Carnival sponsored by Magna Housing Association

Last Saturday saw thousands of people lining the streets of Dorchester to watch the Dorchester carnival procession. Everyone was relieved that the rain held off, especially the carnival queen, Emmaly Ring who led the procession on an open-topped Magna Housing Association van!

David Aldwinckle, MHA’s Director and member of the Round table who organised the event said “It’s really great that so many people came to support the event, the whole weekend was a success.” The results for charities seem to agree.

Magna Housing Association were the main sponsers of the event, and were out in force, with red van floats for Scallywags and it’s own ‘four seasons’ float highlighting our active resident involvement team. Magna staff were seen in ‘seasons’ fancy dress, shaking collection buckets and fishing nets at the public.
Participants in the weekend carnival raised more than £6000 for local charities.
