04.08.08 - New Magna Chair at West Somerset

At the Annual General Meeting of Magna West Somerset Housing Association (MWS) recently, Piers Feilden was officially appointed as its new chairman.

Clive Hoskisson was the former chairman of 5 years and chaired his last meeting of MWS board on the 22nd July.

For 20 years Piers ran his own company and since retiring has done some consultancy in the food industry. He also carries out evaluations of charities on behalf of a national fund-giving body and for 15 years was a customer representative for Ofwat, for which he was awarded an MBE. Piers lives in Somerset and has been involved with Magna and its Boards and Committees for three years. He was pleased to be appointed as chairman. He says, “I have always thought that decent affordable housing is one of the biggest challenges that society faces, so I am very pleased to be involved with an association like MWS.”
