10.10.07 - Magna West Somerset staff support local hospice

Magna West Somerset, based in Williton, donated £578 to the St Margaret’s Hospice. The money was collected by Magna staff who have a ‘Dress Down Day’ every month. The staff also vote to decide which charity receives the money.

Magna West Somerset Director, Tony Murray, presented the cheque to Liz Shirley-Smith, fundraiser for the Hospice. Tony commented, “ I was so impressed by what I saw whilst at the hospital. St Margaret’s has an important role for so many people in Somerset and I am pleased that Magna staff were able to help.”

St Margaret's Somerset Hospice is a local charity committed to providing specialist palliative care, advice, support and respite to patients and their families living in Somerset and parts of neighbouring counties. Care is available for those who have a terminal or life-limiting illness, for example cancer, motor neurone disease and chronic lung disease.
