We have a commitment to inform our customers of our performance on a regular basis. As part of this we wanted to tell you how we dealt with re-letting homes last year and how long it took us to re-let an empty home to a new tenant.
From April 2007 to March 2008 our Re-housing team re-let an amazing 472 homes to new or transferred tenants, so the team were kept very busy.
So far this year, we have let 30 homes in April.

Satisfaction with lettings process
To make sure that the people we re-house are satisfied with the overall service and are happy with their new homes, we survey new tenants to find out their feelings. To do this we ask new tenants a number of questions one month after they have moved in, the percentages of tenants who said 'yes' during March 2008 (of the 34 we contacted) are shown below:
- Were you treated politely? 100%
- Did we keep you informed?
100%
- Was the information we sent understandable? 100%
- Are you satisfied with the condition of your new home? 82%
We try to contact every new tenant and have received some positive comments on the re-housing service.
