| Recruitment Process
Our Recruitment Process (Part 1)
Vacancies are advertised both internally and externally.
However, all applicants are treated in exactly the same way.
Our Recruitment Process (Part 2)
Applicants will need to reply to the Personnel department for an application pack. This pack will include a job description, person specification and an application form.
Other information may be included depending upon the job being advertised.
For an application pack, please telephone our 24 hour answerphone service on 0800 970 7164 or e-mail jobs@magna.org.uk
Our Recruitment Process (Part 3)
Completed application forms, returned to the Personnel
department, are logged and the first and last sections,
containing the applicant's personal details, are removed
before shortlisting.
Our Recruitment Process (Part 4)
The main part of the application form is sent to the line manager. The manager will assess each applicant against the job criteria and decide who will be selected for an interview.
Our Recruitment Process (Part 5)
Once the selection process has been completed the application form is returned to the Personnel department. The Personnel department will then send letters to unsuccessful applicants and arrange interview times for the other applicants.
Our Recruitment Process (Part 6)
Generally interviews are held by two people including the line manager. The process can include appropriate tests eg. typing and a formal interview.
Our Recruitment Process (Part 7)
Applicants will be told at the interview when they can expect to hear the outcome. This will usually be by letter within 5 days of the interview.
Our Recruitment Process (Part 8)
For the successful applicant(s), a letter of offer will be issued along with any other relevant paperwork.
