Grounds maintenance

Our estate services department undertake grounds maintenance work on communal land we own within the West Dorset district and Weymouth and Portland borough. Communal land owned by Magna outside these areas is maintained either by external contractors, caretakers or residents.

Grounds maintenance is a service for which you pay service charges in addition to your rent. As part of this service we will cut the grass, maintain flower beds, hedges and garage courts that have been identified as part of the contract.

The programme prioritises grass cutting between March and October and all other works between November and April.

Where specialist works, such as the crowning or felling of trees, is required we will appoint a specialist contractor.

Twice a year we send residents' satisfaction surveys and would like to hear from you about what we do well and where we can improve.

In the meantime, if you have any queries, please contact us.
