Meet the directors

Four directors manage Magna’s affairs on a day-to-day basis, and are accountable to the board

Selina White - Magna Housing chief executive

Selina White

Selina White was previously group finance director at Knightstone Housing Association.

Selina spent the first 20 years of her career in accountancy and finance director roles before moving through various senior finance roles with Orbit (also a housing association) and BNP Paribas (a bank).

Sarah Barrett - director of transformation and customer experience

Sarah Barrett was most recently chief relationships officer with Ombudsman Services, where she was responsible for driving the OS Business Transformation programme.


Prior to this Sarah was based in the South West working for Knightstone Group as their director of business transformation.  This included setting the strategic service vision and delivery road map, as well as overseeing the specification and procurement of a new core operating system as part of the merger with DCH.

 

 

David Aldwinckle - property director

David Aldwinckle, property director

David Aldwinckle joined Magna in September 2006 from Pathmeads Housing Association (part of the Genesis Housing Group).

Prior to attending university, where he graduated with a biochemistry degree, David worked with single, homeless people for the charity, ‘The Cyrenians’, which gave him a taste for housing.

Originally coming from Cornwall, David and his family were pleased to move back to the south coast.

Tony Murray - housing director

Tony Murray - housing director

Tony Murray joined Magna West Somerset in August 2002.  After leaving London University with a degree in sociology, Tony worked for 14 years for both local authorities and housing associations in inner London.

Before coming to West Somerset, Tony worked for 7 years as housing services manager at Windsor Housing.  Tony is a corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.  He is married with two children and lives in Taunton Deane.

Steve Fraser - finance director

Steve Fraser - finance director

Steve Fraser joined Magna in June 2015.  After leaving Nottingham University with a degree in Industrial Economics, Steve joined Price Waterhouse where he qualified as a chartered accountant.
 
In 1990, he joined The Boots Company, where he worked in finance roles covering retail, healthcare, property and IT (including 3 years in Sydney where he was Director of Finance, IT and Logistics for Boots Healthcare Australia and New Zealand)
 
Steve moved into the charity and social housing sector in 2006, and before joining Magna was director of resources and social enterprise for Bournemouth Churches Housing Association and director of finance for Methodist Homes; in both roles he also had responsibility for IT.
