Have your say about North Quay

Local residents are invited to attend consultation events where they will be asked for their views on the proposed development at North Quay in Weymouth. (Please scroll past the images for the rest of this article)

The events will take place at the Crown Hotel by Weymouth Town Bridge on Wednesday 16 January between 2pm and 8pm and on Thursday 17 January between 10am and 4pm.

Anyone who cannot make either event can complete a questionnaire here https://www.snapsurveys.com/wh/s.asp?k=154720796998 until the 23 January 2019.

The development of this site by Magna offers the chance for homes to be built that are both desirable and affordable with the opportunities for people of all ages to buy or rent their new home, including first time buyers and those who may want to down size and be located centrally.

David Aldwinckle, property director at Magna Housing, said: “We are committed to finding out what local people think about proposals to build on the site of the old council offices and build this into our proposals.

“Our bid to the Council included homes suitable for singles, couples and families with a balance of homes across the generations, so it will be interesting to hear people’s thoughts.”

Anyone attending the event will have the chance to look at some possible plans and discuss any changes they think should be made. These plans can also be seen in the questionnaire above.

We will review the results of the two consultation events and this online questionnaire with the council and make the findings available through our website.
