Safely restarting our services

We plan to restart a number of services from 1 June onwards. We are looking at those services that can be carried out safely as our priority remains to keep our customers and colleagues safe. Please be assured that in doing this we continue to follow all government guidelines.

In addition to those essential services we are already carrying out, we are now looking to bring back services which can be safely delivered outside your home. These include grounds maintenance, the cleaning of communal areas in blocks of flats including window cleaning and carrying out external repair works such as fencing and roof replacements.

We’ll also be continuing to carry out work in empty homes to make them ready for letting. Some of this work will be carried out by contractors working on our behalf and we have made sure that these contractors will also work in a safe way and follow all the government guidelines.

We are also restarting some of our inspection and survey work, like fire safety risk assessments in communal areas of blocks of flats where we can do this safely.

Unfortunately, at the moment we can’t carry out major work inside customer’s homes that involves two or more of our team, because we still have concerns about keeping you and our teams safe. This includes work such as replacing kitchens or bathrooms. We’re also unable to offer mutual exchange as a way of moving at the moment. We will of course let you know when this position changes.

To keep everyone safe, if you see our team members working outside, do feel free to say hello, but please maintain the important two metre rule.

The government has recently written a letter to all housing association residents with an update about the advice and support they have put in place to ensure your continued safety, security and wellbeing. We’ve also put this on our website:
