Time to play in Timberscombe

Children in Timberscombe are enjoying new play equipment on the green, thanks to a donation from local housing provider, Magna Housing.

With over 50 children in the two village schools, and several child-minders in the community, residents wanted to have a well-equipped play area to provide a place where families can get together and play safely.

Over the past four years, the local community has been fundraising to purchase and install equipment in the play area.

Susan Searle, a local resident, sent an application to Magna’s community engagement fund to raise the remaining money they needed. She said: “We’re very grateful for the £500 donation from Magna. The new toddler equipment has now been installed and their donation made it possible.”

Neil Bliss, resident and community engagement officer at Magna, said: “We have lots of residents in and around Timberscombe including young families. We were therefore delighted to be able to provide a donation towards the new play equipment.”
