This week is Learning at Work Week, something which is important to us as a place where talented and ambitious people enjoy rewarding and fulfilling careers in an inspirational environment.
In recent months, a new team has been formed to really focus on our colleague experience and the learning and development opportunities available within Magna.
Heidi Trapani, People Experience Manager, leads the team and said “Creating a great working environment and improving the way our colleagues feel about their work is what our team strives to do. Supporting, listening, and co-creating with our colleagues helps us to continually improve. A big part of this is understanding our colleagues’ learning needs and goals, so that we can offer the best solution”
Bringing the role of Learning Experience Designer into the team, Michael Upton has created a focus on providing the learning and development opportunities that our colleagues require to progress their skills and career. He said “Lifelong learning helps us become more confident, curious, purposeful, and skilled. It enriches us, bringing joy, connection, and understanding of the world, enhancing wellbeing. By learning we can achieve personal aspirations and organisational goals, we can address and deal with challenges both big and small.”
This week, Michael has been sharing encouraging thought pieces and links to IT training, free online courses that can help colleagues uncover their potential, and information about how wellbeing plays an important role in supporting your learning and development.
We’re proud to offer lots of great resources for our colleagues to learn something new, and to have colleagues who continually support one another in their professional development.
