This month, Lisa Holmes, Customer Insight Officer, celebrates 20 years at Magna. We caught up with her to find out why she loves being part of #TeamMagna and what she’s been involved in over the years.

“I worked at a factory after leaving college doing admin work but after 6 years I made the decision to leave there and applied for a job with Magna. I knew a couple of people who worked here and how much they enjoyed it. 20 years on, I can still see why!

“I started on the call centre taking calls and covering reception in the Bridport office. After a few years, I was poached to work in asset management and started as a Customer Liaison Officer. I looked after sheltered customers who were about to have major work carried out in their homes. I loved the feeling of making a difference to someone’s day. From chatting about the works and explaining what would happen, to packing up a kitchen into boxes and driving them to their relatives to stay while the works were carried out.

“Next up was working in resident involvement which I also enjoyed.For the last 12 years, I have been working as a Customer Insight officer gathering feedback and insight on what our customers want.

“Although I have worked in a few different roles within Magna, my passion has not changed. Nor has my focus to achieve customer satisfaction. After all, without customers, we don’t exist.

“It hasn’t been an easy two years for any of us, at work or at home, due to the pandemic, but I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else. Magna has given me the technology to work in an agile way and my work/life balance is better than it has ever been.

“Whenever I’ve had a tricky time in my personal life, Magna and coming to work has been my constant, where I feel safe and can be me and that is so very valuable to me.”
