We’re all feeling the heat at the moment. And our colleagues aren’t different. So, we’ve advised them to work flexibly to avoid the heat where possible, depending on the work they’re carrying out. This could mean some appointments may need to be altered but we’ll let people know if this is the case.

We want you to continue to be safe and follow the guidelines which are already published. But we’d also recommend that you don’t have any barbeques in this weather because the grass, hedges and trees are extremely dry and could catch fire, which could spread quickly and easily.

You should also check where you are storing any flammable liquids, such as petrol for your lawnmower, so you can make sure these are stored in a cool place, away from direct sunlight.

Whilst it’s lovely having some sunshine, it’s important to enjoy it safely. For more information about keeping safe in this heat, visit: https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/seasonal-health/heatwave-how-to-cope-in-hot-weather/
