Our Careline Services

Our Careline service gives you the freedom to live independently in your own home.

A Careline is a small unit connected to your telephone line; it’s used to raise an alarm. You will be given a pendant, which can be worn around the wrist or neck, when this is activated it will connect to the 24-hour emergency call centre, who will be able to assist you

Independence when you want it, help when you need it.

At the touch of a button friends or family can be alerted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, offering peace of mind and reassurance.

Installation is free and will be carried out at a time convenient for you. Call 0800 999 6130 to find out more.

How it works

Our 24-hour emergency call centre is automatically contacted when you press your pendant. When your call has been received, it will be answered by an operator. If the operator gets no response from you, they will try to reach you on the phone, after which, if there is still no response, they’ll call your contacts, or if necessary, the emergency services.

Other services from Careline

We can also fit a key safe outside your property to enable quick access in an emergency.

We have a range of additional items listed below that may help you, such as fall detectors, which can be tailored to your needs and would work with what you already have in place.

After the six weeks, you can choose to pay and continue the service or we can remove the Careline from your home. Installation is free and will be carried out at a time convenient for you. Careline Extras

Our Careline is often referred to as assistive technologies which are devices or systems that help maintain or improve your ability to do things in everyday life.

It's important to make sure that any technology you choose works for you and promotes your independence. Our careline extras offer value for money and are competitively priced and our service is to tailored to your needs.

These can assist with a range of difficulties, including problems with health, security, memory or mobility.

There is a wide range of wireless sensors designed to work within your home to keep you safe and secure.

Examples of assistive technologies are:

Fall detector

This clever detector is worn around the waist. It senses the impact and angle of a fall and raises an immediate response from the 24-hour emergency call centre.

Wireless smoke detector

As with a standard smoke detector, this senses smoke in your home and raises an instant alarm. Unlike conventional detectors though, this wireless device raises the alarm through your lifeline unit to the 24-hour emergency call centre, alerting us of potential fires.

Flood Detector

Provides an early warning of flood situations, such as taps being left on, raising an immediate response from the 24-hour emergency call centre via the Careline unit.

Bed/chair sensor

To assist with reducing and detecting falls at night or during the day, this sensor detects when a user has left the bed/chair and not returned within the pre-set time, raising immediate response from the 24-hour emergency call centre, via the Careline unit.

Property exit sensor

Monitors for people leaving a building at unusual times of day and night, this sensor can also detect if a main exit door has been left open and can be linked to external lighting to provide added protection.
