Careline Extras
Our Careline is often referred to as assistive technologies which are devices or systems that help maintain or improve your ability to do things in everyday life.
It's important to make sure that any technology you choose works for you and promotes your independence. Our careline extras offer value for money and are competitively priced and our service is to tailored to your needs.
These can assist with a range of difficulties, including problems with health, security, memory or mobility.
There is a wide range of wireless sensors designed to work within your home to keep you safe and secure.
Examples of assistive technologies are:
Fall detector
This clever detector is worn around the waist. It senses the impact and angle of a fall and raises an immediate response from the 24-hour emergency call centre.
Wireless smoke detector
As with a standard smoke detector, this senses smoke in your home and raises an instant alarm. Unlike conventional detectors though, this wireless device raises the alarm through your lifeline unit to the 24-hour emergency call centre, alerting us of potential fires.
Flood Detector
Provides an early warning of flood situations, such as taps being left on, raising an immediate response from the 24-hour emergency call centre via the Careline unit.
Bed/chair sensor
To assist with reducing and detecting falls at night or during the day, this sensor detects when a user has left the bed/chair and not returned within the pre-set time, raising immediate response from the 24-hour emergency call centre, via the Careline unit.
Property exit sensor
Monitors for people leaving a building at unusual times of day and night, this sensor can also detect if a main exit door has been left open and can be linked to external lighting to provide added protection.
