Last week, our Building Safety Manager, Stephanie Lloyd-Foxe, opened the National Housing Maintenance Forum (NHMF) conference in her role as Chair of the management team of the NHMF- the leading body representing housing providers, committed to championing innovation to deliver excellence in maintenance and asset management.

Stephanie said: “The main aim of the conference is to get asset management professionals together to network, exchange ideas and promote best practice. There was a fantastic lineup of industry-leading speakers, and it’s important that as a sector we work together and celebrate our successes and share our learning.”

The conference covered the following key themes;

  • Technology and innovation
  • Leadership and talent retention
  • Asset management
  • Carbon Net-Zero
  • Resident safety

Stephanie added: “I always come away from the conference with a renewed enthusiasm, new contacts and inspiration as to how to ensure that Magna incorporates any new developments in the sector into our ambitious plans.”

As well as opening the conference on behalf of the NHMF, Stephanie and our Energy Officer, Jason Hawkes, hosted a workshop to share some of the learning and development work we’ve been doing at Magna, to support our ambition to be a great place to work where talented and ambitious people enjoy rewarding and fulfilling careers in an inspirational environment.

Stephanie said: “I was delighted to be able to share some of the work that we’re doing to attract, train and retain talent in the sector, including our close links with local schools, our work with training providers to produce fit for purpose qualifications in retrofit, and how we have promoted up-skilling and re-skilling across the business.”
