Today is World Day for Safety and Health at Work and a great opportunity to share more about our new Fleet Management System.

According to Brake, the road safety charity, five people die every day on the road in the UK, and 82 are seriously injured. Driving is one of the highest-risk activities carried out by our colleagues, which is why we’ve invested in a Fleet Management System which will allow us to better support our colleagues while they’re driving our vehicles.

We’re working with Fleet Service GB who have developed a comprehensive system, making it easy to gather and store compliance and maintenance records, to ensure our Magna vans and our colleagues driving them are safe.

Liam Faulkner, Fleet Manager at Magna, looks after our fleet of vehicles and champions vehicle safety across all of the work he does. He said: “We recognise the increased risk to colleagues who drive as part of their usual work activity, and we understand our obligations under health and safety law to manage those risks.

“Our investment in Fleet Service GB’s dedicated programme will deliver a wide range of benefits, all of which will support the continuous improvement of vehicle and driver safety within Magna. We’re very excited to commence our partnership with a market leading supplier in this sector.”

Fleet Service GB have strong working relationships within the housing sector, and their platform is proven to reduce accidents and damages by up to 24% as well as provide other positive impacts on running costs and the environment.

We’re proud to be working with such an innovative organisation to help keep our colleagues, customers, and local communities safe.
