Lodden Lakes
Gillingham is a small but fast‑growing market town in the Blackmore Vale of north Dorset, known for its deep rural roots and long history. As the county’s most northerly town, it sits close to the Wiltshire and Somerset borders and has been a settled area since at least the Stone Age, with later Roman activity also recorded. The town appears in Saxon charters and the Domesday Book, and in medieval times it was home to a royal hunting lodge.
With a population of around 12,000 and strong rail links between Exeter and London, it serves as a practical base for exploring Dorset’s countryside.
At Lodden Lakes, we'll have a variety of affordable housing:
- 20 homes available for rent, with a range of two, three and four-bedroom houses and one and two bedroom flats.
- 8 homes available to buy through shared ownership offering two and three bedrooms houses as well as 2 bedroom flats.
The homes are part of a larger development being constructed by Taylor Wimpy and will come with a NHBC warranty.
