Continuing with National Apprenticeship Week, we’d like you to meet Ben, a former apprentice at Magna, for our next apprenticeship story.

Ben joined us originally as an Apprentice Carpenter studying a Level 3 Advanced Carpentry and Joinery qualification, and upon completing his apprenticeship last year has joined us full-time as a Carpenter.

Ben said: “My apprenticeship was a great experience, and I learned a lot in a short amount of time.”

Ben was studying his course at Weymouth College when the apprenticeship opportunity became available with us. He applied and was soon part of #TeamMagna.

He continued: “I learned lots of different skills and knowledge which I can keep with me throughout my career for years to come”

“For me, it was an easy transition from an apprentice to a tradesman because I was given the help and support from my colleagues.”

Like many others, Ben passed his apprenticeship with flying colours and joined us full-time to continue following his career path and developing his skills.

He finished by saying: “I’d recommend an apprenticeship to anyone who wants to learn new skills and gain knowledge whilst earning on the job.”

We’re delighted to be able to support colleagues like Ben through their apprenticeships and offer them great opportunities to further their careers with us.
