Dorset Council Housing Allocation Policy consultation

Dorset Council are currently reviewing their Housing Allocation Scheme policy and are looking to get feedback from people who are on the housing register.

The scheme explains how you can register for housing, how applications are assessed, and how homes are allocated. It ensures that the process is fair and transparent and that those on the housing register understand their options when looking for a home. The new policy makes some changes that will affect households on the current housing register.

The consultation begins on Monday 2 June 2025 and ends on Sunday 24 August 2025. You can learn more and view the full draft policy on Dorset Council's website here.
