This week is Fire Door Safety Week, a week which aims to raise the awareness of the critical role of fire doors and engage and educate people on how they work and how they should be maintained.
We take fire safety very seriously and our customers’ safety is our top priority, which is why we visit our customers annually to carry out surveys on their doors to make sure they’re working correctly.
Last week, Peter Wheeler took up a new role at Magna as an FRA Compliance Manager and will be helping to oversee our fire door surveys and programmes, making sure that customers are being kept safe in their homes.
Peter said: “I’m really excited to have joined the building safety and compliance team. My role is to manage our highly trained in-house installation and maintenance team as well as manage delivery through selected external contractors that we partner with.
“We have incredibly high standards at Magna, and it’s great to join a dedicated team committed to improving customer safety.
“My background as a carpenter and having fitted fire doors previously means that I have a keen eye for detail.”
