We have around 1,400 sheltered homes, primarily for older people who want to live independently in the privacy of their own homes, but with the security of knowing that there are people on hand to help in an emergency.
We have a wide range of sheltered housing. Most is in the form of flats or bungalows, with one or two bedrooms. We also have a few studio flats and houses.
We are pleased to be able to offer 3 levels of sheltered service: Sheltered, Sheltered Plus, and Low level.
All of our sheltered properties have an emergency call system. Residents can contact our sheltered housing or careline staff 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Many schemes have a communal room, available for residents to use for socialising and activities. Some also have guest rooms, available for residents’ families to stay, for a small charge. Most schemes have gardens or other outside areas for residents to enjoy.
Ingrams Meadow in Somerset is currently our only shletered plus scheme.
This scheme offers 29 flats or bungalows. All properties are fitted with outside key safe and comprise of a double bedroom (some may have 2 bedrooms) a fitted kitchen (no white goods provided), living space and a bathroom or wet room.
This includes mobility and wheelchair standard properties with staff on-site from 8am until 6pm Monday to Friday (not bank holidays) visiting management staff and each property benefits from a 24 hour Careline alarm service.
Regular Social Activities include: bingo, craft, flower arranging, and local trips out, organised by Social Committee. It also benefits from a freshly cooked Midday meal
Low level sheltered

We carry out a monthly wellbeing check from a member of staff, along with quarterly pull cord and smoke alarm checks, while still offering the perfect balance of safety and independence.
